On its arrival I examined the flexible drive in some detail. It was quite robustly made and was supplied with greasing points as shown in the photograph. The two ends of the drive seemed to be made from a die casting alloy but the Viin. chuck was a sloppy fit in the housing and it could be easily unscrewed, coming, as it did, with an integral shaft that ran in a rather oversize hole in the housing. The chuck itself was a very simple design and I doubted its ability to hold a drill coaxially with the shaft. The die casting at the chuck end had plenty of metal but there did not appear to be any simple way of removing the die cast ends from the drive cable and its outer sleeve.
