The first thought going through your mind is 'not another one', with special features that are different to previous designs. Well I agree with your sentiments but this tool post was the accidental result of a tool post displayed by one of our club members at a club meeting earlier this year and the modification to an old tool post that I acquired with one of my machines 20 years ago. Up until this time I had been more or less satisfied with the Myford rear tool post apart from the need to adjust it every time the blade needed to be moved. The blade it is only 1/2 in. deep and I cringed whenever parting larger diameters and was not happy using it with the blade extended more than 3/4 inch. These particular Eclipse parting blades are extremely expensive in New Zealand.
