CQC chief urges preparation for a 'COVID era'

The chief executive of the Care Quality Commission has called for services to be redesigned for a 'COVID era' that could last for many years. Speaking at the National Children and Adult Services Conference last week, Ian Trenholm said: '1 think we have to start to think about a COVID era, an era where COVID is present in one way or another for many years to come. We need to normalise that. 'I think we need to recognise that our world has changed. Let's own that change. We are going to have to redesign our services for a COVID era so let's crack on and do that.'
