You know those mornings when you open your email and you've received 32 invitations to take part in an all-important public sector survey for some agency or other? Well, now your beloved MJ pages offer the same intrigue. Yep - I'm using this month's column to ask for your help. As those who had the dubious pleasure of reading last month's column might know, we are about to release a draft white paper. The purpose of the white paper is to bring certainty to the next stage of transformation where we need to be both more radical and more certain that the changes we make will balance our budgets. So we are bringing together the accumulated experience of supporting transformation projects across the UK over the last ten years and the thousands of entries over the last six years of the annual Improvement and Efficiency Awards in order to suggest a possible framework for council transformation going forward.
