Four senior local government figures arrested a year ago have had their bail extended again while police scrutinise materials seized as part of their investigation.The four men - Lancashire CC leader Cllr Geoff Driver,former Liverpool City Council chief executive Ged Fitzgerald, Liverpool's ex-interim boss David McElhinney and former Lancashire chief executive Phil Halsall - have been re-bailed until August while police investigateconspiracy to pervert the course of justice and witness intimidation allegations as part of a wider fraud probe. All four deny any wrongdoing.
