I have been following the reaction to the article 'How to, and how not to, do overview and scrutiny' (The MJ, 27 September) by Profs George Jones and John Stewart with interest As part of our mission to promote transparent, inclusive and accountable public services, the CfPS has been supporting council scrutiny for almost 10 years, partly by sharing 'what works' around the country.
