Mouchel entered administration on 24 August, after bosses failed to secure enough votes at a shareholder meeting to back a plan to rearrange its finances. The following day, it was announced that the troubled firm's assets and staff had been sold to a newly-incorporated company, MRBL, which is owned by RBS, Lloyds Banking Group, Barclays and the firm's management, whose members have a 20% stake.
