This is an exciting time for Stafford Borough Council. Currently in a period of transition from the role of social landlord to active player in regeneration, they are rated as 'fair' but improving by CPA, as well as declaring one of the lowest Council Tax increases in the country. They have significant challenges to face in areas ranging from Waste Management to Community Safely. The role of Executive Director of Community Services represents the chance for an ambitious and dynamic professional to make their mark and could pave the way to move onwards to Chief Executive. The role of this post is outward-facing and usually non-operational. The new Director will have five main priorities: Prosperity, Waste Management, Public Space Management, Community Safety and Partnership Working.
