Fraud strategy aims to help councils cut £2.2bn losses

A new anti-fraud strategy for local authorities was launched this week, to help councils tackle annual fraud losses es timated at f2.2bn. Following an eight-month review led by the National Fraud Authority (NFA) and using councils' existing best practice, the 'Fighting fraud locally' strategy provides a 'blueprint' for councils to tack le fraud.
