Many of us would love a high performance Mini packed with every conceivable modification ranging from trick suspension and brakes to a custom interior and modern motor but, if we lack the skills, time and cash to embark on such a project, we resort to speculating over the classifieds at the occasional completed project. Thankfully this can be one of the cheapest ways to buy your own modified Mini, especially if you want something serious such as a mid-engined conversion from Z Cars or a VTEC-powered monster from Watsons of Wakefield. Whilst the price tag may be high, it's often a lot cheaper and certainly a lot less hassle than doing all of the work yourself.
