Karen, soon I will be 57.1 know, I can't believe it either. That means my Mini addiction will be 40 years old. My first car was a 10 year old Elf (943 MAO) and I went on through the range. Second car a stage prepared Clubman (UKD 762H), then a standard 1000 and some 1275GTs. Then the usual happened, and everything was sold to buy our first house. We were car-less until another GT appeared. When the kids arrived the Mini was deemed too small and made way for a succession of Volvos. Now, at my grand old age, Minis are a large part of my life -I have five of the little beasts! The reason for all of this guff is to comment on a car in this month's mag (Summer). Every Mini I've owned has had my own stamp: Dunlop Dls, Cosmics, S reverse rims, smafl steering wheels... There were three of us who knocked about together. We thought we were the dog's whatsisnames, and we were!
