The Mk3 Mini Cooper S is a rare beast, with only around 1,572 made, and one of the most understated Minis, with its body-coloured roof and minimalist badging. Certainly not one to stand out in a crowd. With so many different types of people with different interests in the Mini scene, it always interests me to find out what makes people tick and why they go for certain types of Mini over others. I asked Jason Adams why he had been looking for a Mk3 S, as I knew he'd recently paid out £600 in shipping costs to have this one brought to England from Northern Ireland. "I wasn't!" he replied. "I was looking for one with a centre clock."
