Fans of Mini Coopers and Cooper racing cars headed to Prescott Speed Hill Climb near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, on 30 July to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the first official race by John Cooper there back in 1946. As well as remembering the first Cooper race, organisers also recognised an occasion on 1 February 1964 when, fresh from Monte Carlo success, the BMC Works team competed on the hill but one Mini retired due to a faulty rotor arm.
