I enclose pics I took of a fire wagon i found in an open barn back in the late 1980s/early 90s. I only had an Olympus Trip 35 so apologies for the quality. I found these when going through some old pics to find old cars, etc. The photos were taken on a farm in Oxfordshire. I know it was moved a few years after I took these so hopefully someone had taken it away for restoration. It was a modified open-back truck, painted white. It had no doors, two seats and grab handles on the roof for a total of four people. The bodywork was modified to hold reels of hose and nozzles and other kit. It had a Coventry Climax pump engine with hinged bracket to lower to the ground from the truck base. I guess it was meant for a large factory, maybe even for use in a BL plant somewhere. I'm interested to know if the fire engine still survives. I do not own a Mini but had a 1000 back in the day in an ugly sand colour so I sprayed it metallic silver in my driveway.
