Liberty Steel Plants Set To Merge Into Global Group

Liberty Steel Group, part of London, England-based GFG Alliance, plans to form a single global company with 18 million metric tons of rolled steel capacity annually through a consolidation of GFG Alliance's steel businesses. Liberty Steel also has a goal to lead the industry toward a carbon-neutral future. Liberty Steel Group, which employs about 30,000 people in 10 countries, will be incorporated by the end of this year through a merger of GFG Alliance's upstream and downstream steel manufacturing, mining and distribution businesses around the world.
