A local Trust is looking to the dairy industry to help preserve a Georgian dairy.rnEastwick Dairy in Surrey dates from 1804 and was located on the extensive Eastwick Estate. However, the dairy fell into dereliction. In 1990, despite its condition, it was Grade 2 listed and put on the Mole Valley District Council's Buildings at Risk Register. Since then it has deteriorated further.rnIn September 2005, The Leatherhead Trust commissioned architects who deemed restoration feasible, although the dairy would have to be relocated. A new site was found on the nearby Eastwick School grounds. Enthusiastic support has been given by the school and approval gained from Surrey County Council.
