Keep your labels under review

The label is the key communication between the food manufacturer or seller and the consumer. It tells the consumer what the food is, how it should be used, and gives information about the food. The requirements are changing rapidly, and they need to be kept under review to avoid the need for stock write-offs in future.rnToday's main requirements are in the Food Labelling Regulations 1996 which implement the requirements of Directive 2000/13/EC. Although these requirements have been around for some time, there is a proposal for a new regulation on food information to consumers which will eventually replace these.
