AIDIS, the UK's new Aerospace, Defence and Security trade body formally began operations on 1st October 2009 following the merger of the Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers (APPSS), the Defence Manufacturers Association (DMA) and the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC).
