Uzbekistan Bans Foreign Military Bases

Uzbekistan has said it will not host any foreign military bases or other military objects on its soil, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov said in September before the Senate. Kamilov added that there would be no "operative groups" allowed either in the Central Asian country.
