MT: Please provide a short history of your company, and explain its exact nature in the overall concept of RUAG. T. Rossi: The part of the RUAG Defence I am working for, the Business Unit Land Systems has a 149 years long tradition. It was founded in 1863 as "Eidgenossische Konstruktions-werkstatte" in Thun, Switzerland. In the past years we became leaders in the upgrading and armouring of vehicles. Our strength lies in advanced custom solutions for individual customer requirements. RUAG Defence is the main technological partner of the Swiss Army in areas of Upgrades, Protection, Simulation and Training and Networked Enabled Operations including Cyber Security.
