The annual I/ITSEC in Orlando, FL/USA, last December is by far the largest specialist simulation and training (S&T) event in the world. However, overall attendance was about 16,000 compared to nearly 20,000 in the previous two years. Does this mean a downturn in Simulation and Training, particularly in the military? In my judgement, the answer is ,,no," because the emphasis on S&T in both civilian and military areas is not only strong but is increasing. How can this ,,circle be squared?"
