Tactical Enhancement through Ground Robotics

Deployment of tactical UGVs in the contemporary operating environment has witnessed mixed fortunes over recent years with utility of platforms for ISR and cargo resupply missions failing to proliferate the battlefield. According to defence sources, a spike in the deployment of throwable UGVs or "throwbots" during the US and NATO led campaign in Afghanistan for ISR missions has failed to maintain momentum into the contemporary operating environment, unlike the increased utility currently being enjoyed by unmanned airborne technology.
