Leveraging the Military Cloud

In future conflicts, soldiers will need access information to survive, decide, and act. They need to transfer, share, manipulate, and view petabytes of data. Imagery from a host of sensors, 3D maps and high-definition videos from UAVs must be accessed, tabulated, compared, analysed, and transmitted. This article investigates cloud computing and how new advances in technology, such as the impending Internet of Things (IoT), recent advances in liquid computing and enhanced cloud encryption, all of which will soon impact access to information and warfighting.
