In the July issue of Military Officer, the article "To the Rescue" - which highlighted the work of combat search-and-rescue teams - included the story of Capt. Scott Speicher, a Navy pilot who was shot down flying a combat mission in an F/A-18 Hornet Jan. 17,1991. The fate of Speicher was unknown - until recently.
