Senate Pushes School Compact

The Senate version of the FY 2010 Defense Authorization Bill expresses a Sense of the Senate on state implementation of the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children and encourages all remaining states to adopt this legislation, designed to help smooth school transitions for military children when their parents make a permanent change-of-station move. MOAA members, staff, and local chapters have been working to encourage passage of this important military family legislation.
