TRICARE UPDATE

STARTING SEPT. 1, DoD will waive copayments for some preventive services for TRICARE beneficiaries under age 65 - not to include Medicare-eligibles. This change comes as a result of the FY 2009 Defense Authorization Act. Copayments will be dropped for colorectal, breast, cervical, and prostate cancer screenings. Immunizations and well-child visits for children under age six also will be free of any copayments.
