摘要

This paper gathers the main results of a research carried out at INSA Rennes on the dissipation capacity of steel and steel-concrete composite external bolted joints with enlplates and high strength prestressed bolts. The first part, of an experimental nature, is aimed at identifying efficient constructive solutions, as far as dissipation is concerned, either in the vicinity or directly within the joints. On the basis of the moment-rotation curves reported during the tests, it is then shown, in the second part, of a numerical nature, how joint elements - in fact, rotational springs - may be modelled and calibrated so as to represent structural beam-to-column joints. This modelling has been achieved by means of a sophisticated finite element already available in a powerful non linear dynamic analysis software and allowing to integrate multi-linear moment-rotation envelope curves and a cyclic response with energy degradation.
