摘要

Air-jet spinning is a technological development intended to increase production speed and flexibility. This technique is also known as fasciated yarn spinning. The air-jet spinning system J 20 (Rieter Machine Works Ltd., Win-terthur/Switzerland) consists of a 3-over-3 high-speed roller drafting unit. The air-jet spinning nozzle has a central cylindrical channel (the spinning channel) through which the fiber ribbon from the drafting unit passes. In the air-jet nozzle inclined to the channel axis but tangential to its circumference there are 4 nozzles through which compressed air is injected into the channel, creating vortex airflow. In this research study an attempt has been made for the investigation of yarn quality parameters influenced by the variation in the process parameters of the air-jet J 20 spinning machine. The break draft of 4 is found to be optimum. The quality parameters like single yarn strength, yarn friction, yarn U°/o, yarn imperfections and Classimat testing has been tested for different machine process parameters.
