The authors regret that in the original printing of this article, there were the following errors throughout the text: 1. Proposition 1 should read "The dynamic system z(t) = G(x,g(z)) in Eq. (5) is rate-independent". That is, there is no need for the continuity of the function G to proof the proposition. 2. The first piece of the piecewise function in Case 4 is sin(0.75z) instead of sin(0.75). 3. The passive function in Eq. (7) should be g(z)=a_1z+a_3z~3 instead of g(z)=a_1z+a_2z~2+a_3z~3. Otherwise, the passivity of the function cannot be guaranteed for any real numbers a_1, a_2, a_3. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused to the readers of the journal.
