Tick bites have always been annoy ing, but now it is causing a delayed allergic reaction after consuming red meat, claims a new study by Susan Wolver, MD, and Diane Sun, MD, from Virginia Commonwealth Univ. and colleagues, relays Medical News Today. From three to six hours after eating red meat for dinner, patients may wake up in the middle of the night with hives or anaphylaxis, which is a severe, life-threatening allergic reac tion to meat.
