Mexican Beef exports have increased by 564% during the past 10 years

Mexican beef exports continue to grow amid production expansion and falling imports, in addition to the opening of new markets. However, 2017 could mark a pivotal year due to NAFTA renegotiations that are currently underway and the establishment of a meat grading system close to that of the U.S. and Canada. Through September 2017, Mexican beef exports have managed to grow by nearly 8 percent compared to last year, according to Mexico's official data. Approximately 90 percent of those exports end up in the U.S. market.
