摘要

Last December, as C0VID-19 vaccine distribution started in the United States, industry stakeholders joined forces to ensure front-line workers in meat and poultry processing facilities were given priority access. The North American Meat Institute (NAMI) sent a letter to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) in early December and followed up with another letter, co-signed by the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) and the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC), urging governors to protect workers by allowing them access to the vaccine just after administering initial doses to workers in healthcare and long-term care facilities. The industry agreed that meat plant workers should be part of Phase 1b of the vaccination distribution program.
