摘要

Equations are derived that describe the behaviour of a gas bubble inside a liquid as the bubble is compressed. The full model includes heat generation by chemical reaction within the gas phase as well as heat generation by compression and heat loss by conduction. The equations are formulated in Lagrangian coordinates, and a numerical method of solution is developed. Some illustrative compression processes are considered, and the equations are also applied to some particular situations of practical interest.
