摘要

In this study we develop a fundamental understanding of the dynamics of an aerodynamic method of forming fibrous web structures from short fibres. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is employed to model the web forming process which consists of bibre transportation through a turbulent air flow between two filters: a perforated screen of low resistance, which the fibres penetrate, and a belt of large resistance, onto which the fibres are deposited.
