The International Workshops, Conferences, and Expo for Military and Marine Applications (IWCEM) were initiated in the year 2008. This annual event has had continued support and participation from across the globe involving the defense services; Indian Coast Guard; shipyards; defense, mercantile marine, gas, pipeline, fertilizer, and offshore industries; professional bodies; research organizations; and academic institutions. During these conferences, a technology meet is held for approximately 100 delegates by invitation, where new technologies, products, and services are presented to a select group of senior officers from the government, defense, and maritime industry. The goal of the technology meet is to provide a focused, secure, and professional platform for the networking of all stakeholders to interact and facilitate a discussion of new technologies, products, and services in these sectors, which cannot take place in large, general-subject conferences and seminars.
