Intercalation of n-C_(12)H_(25)NH_2 into layered titanate with the aid of microwave radiation

摘要

Synthesis of layered tetratitanate-n-C_(12)H_(25)NH_2 intercalation compounds under microwave radiation was reported in this paper. Under microwave radiation, conversion of K_2Ti_4O_9 to H_2Ti_4O_9 in 1 M HCI solution needs only 1 h with 0.88 nm of interlayer distance, and the intercalation of n-C_(12)H_(25)NH_2 could be achieved in 3 h. The formations of the layered hydrogen tetratitanatc and the intercalation compounds were confirmed by X-ray diffraction, elemental, thermal gravimetric and differential scanning calorimetric analyses. The interlayer distance of the composite material could expand to 3.92 nm after the intercalation. High power of microwave is favorable during the intercalation of n-C_(12)H_(25)NH_2 into the layered hydrogen tetratitanate.
