A hierarchical trimodal structure comprised of micro-porous Gasar Cu, nano-porous Cu and nano-cellular cuprous oxide (Cu2O) was fabricated by dealloying Cu-Zn alloy layer on the inner surface of Gasar pores along with a spontaneous oxidation process. The influence of corrosion time on the microstructure of the resulting nano-porous Cu and nano-cellular Cu2O was investigated. Observed results showed that with the corrosion time increase, both of the structures were coarsened, and the nano-cellular Cu2O was further oxidized into nano-lamellar copper oxide (CuO).
