We fabricated dye-sensitized solar cells with fluorinated oligomer gel electrolyte. This material has the advantage of self-aggregated gelation of the electrolyte that is hopeful to a simple process for fabrication. We introduced ionic liquid to the electrolyte and investigated the cell performance. We found that ionic liquid enhances the conductivity of the gel but that both the open voltage and the short current density are lowered by adding ionic liquid. In addition, the gelation was found to become hard when the concentration of Lil is too high in the gel.
