Temperature Effects on MgO Nanoparticles: Prepared by Green Route Method and Application of Seed Germination

摘要

Material properties of nanostructured metal oxides were surprisingly different from the bulk materials. These nanostructured materials are of great technological importance because of their small size and high surface to volume ratio. Due to this reason metal oxides were used in various potential applications such as optoelectronics, microelectronics, water purification, paints, environmental, biomedical field, different sensor fabrications and seed germination. Present work concentrates on Synthesis of MgO nanoparticles by green route, characterization and application of seed germination at various temperatures. As prepared MgO nano particles have characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), UV-Visible absorption spectrometer (UV-Vis), Thermo Gravimetric and Differential Thermal Analyzer (TG/DTA) for average crystallite size, average particle size, morphology, optical properties and thermal stability as well as weight loss respectively. The MgO metal oxide nanoparticles were used during the seed germination of Ricinus seeds.
