Azistern Tug

Deriving from OSD's involvement in the zero-emission tug project, a series of Azistern Tugs was designed. These vessels are the optimal fuel and emission savers operable in today's harbour infrastructure and fuel supply. The design comes in various sizes, from 24 metres with 30 tonnes of displacement (the 24/30] up along the 24/50, the 32/80 and the 33 metres long tug with 60 tonnes of displacement. AH designs are propelled by an azimuthing electric drive. A set of diesel generators supplies electrical energy. Employing multiple generators of various sizes and capacities, a configuration will be available for every possible energy demand and operational profile, in which all engaged generators perform to their most optimal range, virtually all equipment on board is electric, so few hydraulic installations are necessary and everything will be powered by the efficient generator lay-out.
