New catamaran for Lake Mead Cruises

Lake Mead Cruises (LMC) of Boulder City, NV will take delivery this Spring of a 57 ft x 17 ft catamaran currently under construction at Kvichak Marine. The catamaran, designed by Morrelli & Melvin, will cruise 65 miles up Lake Mead and the Colorado River to the edge of the Grand Canyon. The catamaran design was chosen as Lake Mead waters are often rough due to high winds and the catamaran should operate more smoothly than a monohull, a company spokesperson said.
