A mariner and pilot, Benton is also the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Technology Systems, Inc. and inventor of LookSea. What sets the LookSea system apart is its core technology―augmented reality. The system combines the elements of electronic chart data, real―time input from a video camera and augmented reality―an overlayed, three dimensional (3D) virtual highway on the water- to increase situational awareness for the bridge team.
