New frontiers offshore

Anew generation of offshore rigs is on its way that will demand the services of a new generation of offshore service vessels. These new rigs are going to be in deeper, more distant waters—or drilling in deeper depths in existing locations. Either way, they will require more supplies. Meantime, in some offshore regions at least, we are seeing stricter environmental and safety regulations. This is a trend that can only increase. Another ongoing trend is for things to be done from boats that previously had to be done from rigs or work platforms.
