SPS overlay restores ITB tank top plating

Intelligent Engineering (UK) Ltd has completed work to reinstate the tank top plating of three holds on TECO Ocean Shipping's (TOS) integrated tug barge, Gayle Eustace, using its patented SPS. This is the third project undertaken by Intelligent Engineering (IE) on behalf of Tampa, Fla.-based TOS. Other projects include the reinstatement of tank top plating of two holds on the Doris Guenther at ASMAR Shipyard in Talc-ahuano, Chile, October 2004 and similar work in two holds on the Gayle Eustace in May 2003. This latest repair and strengthening project of 1,014 m~2 was completed at J. Ray McDermott subsidiary Talleres Navales del Golfo, S.A. de C.V. (TNG) in Veracruz , Mexico in September.
