When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade, right? But what kind of lemonade can the marine industry make from the lemons of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission reduction? Though the U.S. has lagged behind the rest of the world in addressing GHG problems, it is now playing catch up in a big way. Last month, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a proposed finding that is likely to have a huge impact. The finding was "In both magnitude and probability, climate change is an enormous problem. The greenhouse gases that are responsible for it endanger public health and welfare within the meaning of the Clean Air Act."
