CRUISE LINES HEAD TO EUROPE

It's Spring and the rush to Europe is in full bloom, as the cruise lines continue to take advantage of the rapid demand growth and higher yields available there. According to the European Cruise Council, the European cruise market grew by 12% to 4.9 million passengers in 2009, the third consecutive year of double-digit growth. Conversely, the North American market declined 0.7% in 2009 to 9.8 million passengers and was down 4.3% from its peak in 2007.
