Central GOM deepwater draws strong interest

There was strong interest in the U.S. Central Mexico Oil and Gas Lease Sale 213 recently held in New Orleans, La., by the U.S. Minerals Management Service (MMS) attracting $ 949.3 million in high bids. Seventy-seven companies sub-mitting 642 bids on 468 tracts comprising over 2.4 million acres offshore Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
