World's largest chemical carrier nears completion at Szczecinska

In a couple of months time, Polish ship builder Stocznia Szczecinska will deliver the first of eight 182.8m long, 40 000dwt, B588-class chemical tankers to Odfjell Seachem. (The original buyer was the Greek-owned Ceres Hellenic but the company subsequently merged with Seachem Chemicals.) And with the capability to carry some 50 000m3 of chemical cargo, it is claimed that these vessels will be the 'largest of their type in the world.'
