The innovative design embodied in the 15 000dwt Carmel Ecofresh is distinguished by a midship, temperature-controlled section and cellular container holds fore and aft, to ensure efficient vessel utilisation in both westbound and eastbound directions. Ordered from the Viana do Castelo yard in Portugal by MPC Marine of Hamburg for long-term charter to Agrexco, she and her future consort will sustain a weekly link between Ashdod and Marseilles.
