Safety first at all times

The shipping industry is sometimes criticised for under-estimating the importance of the safety of seafarers. This is not something of which IBIA can be accused. IBIA regularly organises training courses for the bunker industry, and moreover is a powerful voice for that industry on the international stage. And a good example of the latter took place recently when IBIA made a submission to IMO urging the early adoption of a sensible and practical system for the provision of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs).
